Here’s to Many More

Hey all,

Just a quick update because I think this blog reaches more places than Facebook does.

I only noticed today that I have been missing questions on Goodreads. I feel terrible about that because if you know anything about me it’s the I love talking to people.  And I especially love talking to people about my books. Trust me, everyone within a 20-mile radius, including my children, is tired of hearing about them. They probably feel like they’ve read all the books 60,000 times.

So, I’m sorry. And feel free to chat. Best email address is amy@aewasp and the best place to reach me is Facebook.

It’s not Christmas yet, but it is Hanukkah still so a perfect time to say Happy Holidays for whatever you celebrate, even if it’s just that you don’t have to grade and/or write any more papers/tests for the next few weeks. I think that the turning of the seasons is always a great reason to celebrate, whether it’s for the welcome return of longer days or the joy of the longest day of the year.

This has been a tough year for many of us, battered and bruised by the news on an hourly basis. It has also been an amazing year in many ways with groups of people standing up and saying “We’re mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.”

Personally and professionally, it’s been an amazing year and I have all of you to thank for that. I’m excited about 2018. I probably should have saved this for some kind of New Year’s post, but, oh, well. My middle kid is home from college. I feel like a TV mom. I’m so excited to see her and spend some time with all my girlies together.

Happy Holidays. May you spend them surrounded  – in spirit if not in body –  by all the people who matter to you!

Love,

Amy

Here’s my favorite Christmas song by Relient K. I love the lyrics.

So look at me now
It’s finally Christmas and I’m home
Head indoors, to get out of this weather
And I don’t know how
But the closest friends I’ve ever known are all inside
Singing together
Singing Merry Christmas, here’s to many more

Deck the halls with mistletoe
May all your heavy burdens go
Up the chimney in a cloud of smoke
The fire’s burning bright
Strike up the band and play the tune
‘Cause Christmas will be here and soon
You’ll hear our song in every room
This merry Christmas night

Singing Merry Christmas, here’s to many more
